Esteban J. Alcantara and Sugey Salmeron

SERVING IN: United Kingdom Eurasia

Esteban is from the Dominican Republic and Sugey is from Mexico. Sugey has been living in the Dominican Republic since 2016, when she was sent by Genesis Ministry to plant churches. During that time of service, Esteban and Sugey met and ministered together. After a friendship of several years and a dating relationship, they got married in 2022.

Esteban met the Lord as a teenager, and from a young age he has been involved in church development, missions, and youth ministries. He has served as a Youth Pastor and District NYI President and has also worked in Church planting and leadership development in his country and the Mesoamerica Region. He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business; and is currently studying theological studies. Esteban feels a great passion for youth and cross-cultural missions, and is convinced that in some way, we are all called to be part of God's mission.

Sugey was educated in the gospel from a young age. At the age of 15 she came to the Church of the Nazarene and since then she began to get involved in the service of God through different ministries. In 2010, God called her to serve in missions and plant Churches in Huasteca Potosina, a rural area of her home country, where she served for 4 years. In 2016, she was sent by the Genesis Ministry to Santiago, Dominican Republic to plant an urban Church for 2 years. Upon successful completion of her mission, she was invited to be part of the Regional Missionary Mobilization and Genesis Team. Currently, Sugey serves as Assistant to these ministries, developing materials and resources to educate urban churches, providing support in the process of finding, training, and sending missionaries to the field, and creating programs and projects to mobilize the church in God's mission. Sugey has a bachelor’s degree in theology and a Specialty in Youth Ministry. Her passion is creating opportunities for people to come to know Christ and discover God's calling on their lives.

In August 2023, God blessed their marriage with the arrival of their son, Gael. As a family, they have been working to develop growth projects and initiatives for their local Church.

Recently, they were invited by Global Missions to serve in the Eurasia Region as Regional Missions Mobilization Coordinators. As they prepare for deployment, we invite you to pray for the migratory processes and the transition to the mission field in 2024.

Jeremy and Lynnette are Missionaries in the Church of the Nazarene, returning to the Asia-Pacific Region as Regional Missions Teams Coordinators and Lynnette will also work with the regional finance team based in Metro Manila, Philippines. They have three wonderful sons: Jordan is in the U.S. Navy and lives in Japan, Jacob lives in Phoenix and is studying Business Entrepreneurship at Arizona State University, and Luke lives at home and will attend 8th grade in the Philippines this August.

Previously, they served in Thailand and Indonesia, assisting works on the Sealands Field. In their new roles, they will work to plan, organize, & promote ministry projects in 32 world areas on the Asia-Pacific Region while coordinating the mobilization of short-term teams traveling to, and from the region. They are excited to help churches, pastors, and missional leaders from all around the world send servants of Christ who desire to serve cross-culturally by helping with projects that include construction, education, sports, medical, technology, Jesus Film, emergency response, Compassionate Ministries, and more. They invite you to join the effort to Make Disciples of the Nations in the Asia-Pacific Region.

Lisa Lehman has been a global missionary for the Church of the Nazarene in Thailand since 2001. She serves as Asia Pacific Regional Literature Coordinator, South East Asia Field Prayer Newsletter Coordinator, and she advises the development of the Thailand District as she builds relationships, develops Thai leaders, and oversees translation teams working in over 20 languages. She teaches pastoral training courses, preaches holiness, and engages in prayer ministries in Thailand District and SEA Field. In these ways, she is actively developing leaders throughout SE Asia and the AP Region while living in Bangkok.

Lisa graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 1993 with a B.A. in elementary education. She received her M.A. in special education from Governors State University in 2000, followed by a certificate of cross-cultural ministry from NTS in the same year.  She was ordained an elder on the Chicago Central District of the Church of the Nazarene in 2007. She received her post-graduate certificate in leadership from Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary in 2022.  Lisa initially felt called to missions as a seven-year-old, and her call was confirmed several times throughout her teen years before God called her to preach cross-culturally. Her passion for prayer and sharing the Gospel with unreached people propels her to fulfill God’s call to “be a light to the Gentiles” and to proclaim the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.” (Is. 49:6, Romans 15:16, NIV).
