TOURNAMENT RULES
Games will be first to 3 points. The top 4 teams with the most wins will face off in a single elimination tournament.
Basic Gameplay:
Start:
Each point begins with a "pull," where one team throws the disc to the other.
Movement:
Players cannot run with the disc. They must pivot on one foot and pass it to a teammate.
Scoring:
A goal is scored when a player catches the disc in the opposing team's end zone.
Turnovers:
A turnover occurs when a pass is incomplete (dropped, intercepted, or goes out of bounds).
Stall Count:
The thrower has 10 seconds to release the disc after establishing a pivot foot. The defender guarding the thrower (the marker) counts out the stall count.
Fouls:
Physical contact is not allowed. A foul occurs when a player initiates contact with another player.
Key Rules to Remember:
Non-Contact:
Players must avoid physical contact. Fouls are called when contact affects play.
Self-Officiating:
Players are responsible for their own foul and line calls, and disputes are resolved by the players involved.
Spirit of the Game:
Ultimate emphasizes sportsmanship and fair play. Players are expected to play fairly and resolve disputes amicably.
Additional Notes:
Substitutions: Substitutions are generally made between points.
Appropriate clothing is required (shirts, pants/shorts, and shoes), with costumes and team outfits being very strongly encouraged!
